I’ve spent the last 20 years in the furniture industry, starting out on the bench as an apprentice and learning the craft from the ground up. Having worked hands-on with furniture, I understand what goes into making a piece work, both practically and technically. That experience has stayed with me throughout my career and continues to shape how I approach every project, from technical drawings through to delivery.
For the past seven years, I’ve been working as a Design Manager for a London-based luxury furniture company, overseeing projects for some of the most prestigious clients in the UK and internationally.
Managing projects from approved concept through to finished piece, coordinating designers, architects, craftsmen and fitters to keep everything on track. Taking a hands-on approach to problem-solving to ensure the finished result meets the design intent.
Producing detailed technical and workshop drawings that turn design concepts into practical, buildable furniture. Working through the finer details to make sure everything is clearly communicated, properly considered and ready for manufacture.
Carrying out accurate site surveys and measurements to understand the space and identify any potential challenges early on. Making sure every detail is considered so the furniture fits as intended and installation runs smoothly from start to finish.
From London’s most prestigious addresses to private residences and high-end projects around the world, my work has taken me across Europe, the Middle East, the Caribbean and the US. Each location brings its own challenges, with every project built around the same focus on detail, quality and getting the finished piece just right.
